Revelation 12 and the Tribulation

On September 23, 2017, a very rare astrological event will occur, one that only happens every 7,000 years. The sun will be in the constellation, Virgo along with the moon near Virgo’s feet. Jupiter, too, will be in Virgo while the planets Venus, Mars, and Mercury will be above and to the right of Virgo in the constellation Leo. This astronomical alignment will occur directly over Jerusalem.

What does this mean?

Scholars are looking to the bible; Revelation 12:1 to be specific.

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.

Now, line up the astrological event of September 23 up with the bible verse and you will see a woman (Virgo) in heaven (the sky) along with the sun and the moon at her feet. The constellation Leo has 9 stars, but when you add the three planets: Venus, Mars, and Mercury, which appear as bright stars, there are 12 stars (The garland of twelve stars).

Leo

Revelation 12:2 reads:

Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.

Prior to Jupiter in retrograde, the Comet Borisov, also known as the Conception Comet, traveled from the loins of the constellation Leo to the womb of the constellation Virgo. This is the comet’s only trip through our solar system, as it is not a solar orbital. This comet represents the divine insemination of the woman. Then on November 20, 2016, Jupiter, entered into the body of the constellation Virgo. Due to its retrograde motion it is to remain in the “womb” of Virgo for 9 ½ months. After that time, Jupiter will exit the womb of Virgo on September 23, 2017, which will represent the birth.

Virgo

September 20, 2017 is the first day of Rosh Hashanah, also known as the Feast of Trumpets. The two days of Rosh Hashanah usher in the 10 Days of Repentance, also known as the Days of Awe, which culminate on Yom Kippur, the day of Atonement. Rosh Hashanah is also known as Yom Hadin, or the Day of Judgement, on which God opens the Books of Life and Death. Those books are then sealed on Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah is a Jewish celebration of the new year, in this case, marking the end of the year 5777. In Jewish Tradition, the Feast of Trumpets is believed to be the day when the dead will be resurrected and judgement will begin. Christians believe the period describes the tribulation period, found in the Book of Revelation.

The September 23 alignment is the Great Sign described in scripture. The woman represents the nation of Israel, which is about to enter a multi-year period of Tribulation, and the male child represents the Church, which is to be raptured to Heaven before the Tribulation period begins.

What exactly is the Tribulation, and what does it mean for mankind?

Revelations

The Tribulation will occur during “the last days,” or “the end time.” (2 Timothy 3:1, Daniel 12:4) It will be “a tribulation such as has not occurred from the beginning of the creation that God created until that time, and will not occur again.” (Mark 12:19, Daniel 12:1, Matthew 24:21-22)

The Tribulation will bring the destruction of false religion. It will also bring an attack on true religion, with a coalition of nations, referred to in Ezekiel’s vision as “Gog of the land of Magog.” God will protect his worshippers from destruction (Ezekiel 38:1,2 9-12, 18-23).

Jesus will judge all of mankind and “will separate people one from another just as a shepherd separates sheep from the goats” (Matthew 25:31-33). The faithful chosen to rule with Christ will be resurrected to life in heaven (Matthew 24:31, 1 Corinthians 15:50-53, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).

Finally, Armageddon. Those judged adversely by Christ will be destroyed (Zephaniah 1:18, 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10). This will include the destruction of the worldwide political system, pictured in the Bible by a seven headed wild beast (Revelation 19:19-21).

In the end, Satan and the demons will be hurled into the abyss by a great angel. Satan will no longer be able to influence affairs, it will be as though he is imprisoned. (Revelation 20:1-3)

The Millennium will begin. God’s Kingdom will begin its 1,000 year reign which will bring great blessings to mankind. (Revelation 5:9,10, 20:4, 6)

Mark Blitz, founder and pastor of El Shaddai Ministries said, “The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is trying to get the attention of the entire world, and His people in particular, of the need to get on His calendar cycle.”

God gets the attention of the world through signs in the heavens, including lunar and solar eclipses, and other astrological signs.
