John Jones and the Nutty Putty Cave

For those who love to explore, spelunking is a favorite activity. The art of exploring caves on an increasingly difficult level adds to the adrenaline, easily making it an addictive form of pleasure. For John Jones and his family, caving and spelunking was a cherished part of childhood. As an adult, despite having grown up, the love was still there, so it was no surprise when John and his brother Josh decided to explore the Nutty Putty Cave.

The Gainesville Ripper

In August 1990, fear gripped the people of Gainesville, Florida. Students were being killed, mutilated, in their college dorms. Classes were canceled, everyone took to carrying baseball bats with them wherever they went. People slept in shifts and no one went out alone. The Gainesville Ripper was out there. A killer who inspired American screenwriter, Kevin Williamson – the creator of the Scream movie franchise.

James Jameson: Whiskey and Cannibalism

If you drink whiskey, or even if you don’t, you’re likely familiar with “Jameson Irish Whiskey.” John Jameson was born in 1740 in Alloa in Scotland. He began his career as a lawyer, but after he married Margaret Haig in 1753, his future would be forever changed. Margaret just so happened to be the daughter of John Haig, the famous whisky distiller in Scotland. In 1774, John joined the Convivial Lodge No. 202, of the Dublin Freemasons, and by 1780 his Irish whiskey distillation began. He worked for the next 41 years, building up the business, then passed it on to his son, John II in 1851.
